Titan are working with a major Freight Forwarder based in Glasgow to recruit an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team.
The main purpose of the role will be to support the Controller with financial reporting and accounting activity and ensure that the supplier relationships are maintained and all invoices are paid on time.
Role responsibilities
- Support the Controller and the wider Accounts team to meet financial activities
- Process and enter all invoices and credit notes accurately and in a timely manner
- Reconcile supplier statements at month end and identify and escalate any issues to the Finance Manager

Deal with all day to day accounts payable matters / queries

To provide accurate financial support, particularly with regards to ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legal bodies

Ensure spending is kept in line with the assigned budget

Prepare period financial reports, including profit and loss accounts, cash flow, variance analysis and commentaries

Other general duties and ad-hoc tasks as required
Skills

Previous experience working within an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger environment is essential

Experience of processing high volume invoices

Excellent computer skills with proficiency in all Microsoft applications, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.

Strong organisational skills
This is a full time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, offering a salary up to £26,000
