In order to be considered for the role, successful candidates are required to have demonstrable experience of at least 2 years’ in an Ocean Import role with solid market knowledge including familiarity with all processes in customs clearance. You will have effective communication skills including verbal, numerical and electronic and have the ability to build up successful relationships with clients. Responsibilities of the Ocean Import Operator include, but aren’t limited to:

• Organising ocean import containers (FCL and LCL)from start to finish
• Liaising with customers, partners, carriers and shipping lines
• Obtaining competitive freight rates and providing quotations to customers
• Completion of customs documentation including import and export declarations, customs clearance etc.
• Providing tracking details to clients and client reporting
• Maintaining KPIs

The successful candidate will become part of an exciting company who are continually growing in the marketplace and will be paid a competitive salary of up to £30,000 with an additional annual bonus of up to 15% dependent on performance. As the Business Development Manager, you will have demonstrable experience within the Freight Forwarding industry and have multi-modal experience. Your role within the company will be to secure new clients for the business, increase revenue with current key account clients and to manage your key accounts to ensure that the customer’s needs are always met. Your daily responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Delivery of all operational activities to meet set targets, KPIs, and business objectives to achieve the company’s vision
• Look after all customers who book full and part load, import and export shipments Worldwide
• To increase business from existing, lapsed and recently gained clients
• Providing excellent customer service to all clients and customers to nurture working relationships and to secure repeat business
• Providing quotes to customers and securing bookings
• Logging quotes on the quote tracker
• Administering the entire booking process with customers and hauliers, entering bookings into the system and tracking loads from booking to delivery

In return for the above, the successful Business Development Manager will be rewarded with a competitive salary of up to £35,000 with an excellent commission structure. This position is a remote opportunity, so there will be no set office space, however as the Business Development Manager it’s expected that you’ll be on the move more often than not. The ideal candidate will:

Titan Recruitment are working with our client, who are a Global Freight Forwarder based at Manchester Airport to recruit for an experienced Customs Clearance Operator to join their team. The successful Customs Clearance Operator will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant customs documents for deep sea, air and road freight have been generated and that all IT systems are updated in a timely manner. In order to be considered for the role, you will have demonstrable experience of at least 2 years in a customs role within the freight forwarding industry. Your daily responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:

• Arranging and completing all associated paperwork for import and export clearances
• Liaise closely with the Operations team to ensure that all relevant documentation has been generated
• Updating all internal and external IT systems
• Completing all declarations accurately within the required time scales to meet Service Level Agreements
• Escalating any issues with the line manager
• Providing excellent customer service to all clients and customers
• Advise customers on the completion of customs declarations
• Ensure that any customs issues are spotted before causing delays to shipments
• All administrative tasks associated with the Customs Operations

Your daily responsibilities and duties will include, but not be limited to:
