Titan are currently working with a major manufacturing company based just outside of Glasgow to recruit an experienced Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.
The main responsibility will be to co-ordinate the functional performance of the onsite Mechanical Design team, ensuring that individuals are sufficiently experienced to deliver results in a timely manner. You will be required to ensure that availability and integrity is sustained and improved through the development of practical and technical solutions and application of engineering know how.
- Lead the CAD design team in order to introduce best practice in all areas
- Develop and monitor KPI’s to track and monitor team performance
- Manage and co-ordinate the design team to ensure project delivery on time and on budget
- Advise and support the design team and all employees with regards to Engineering & BOM matters
- Manage, review and approve product design and changes in coordination with Engineering & Warranty Manager
- Liaise with management, production and manufacturing to discuss project specifications and procedures
- Produce timely and accurate drawings and BOMS
- To ensure that all work undergoes a level of planning and pre-engineering that ensures the safety, environmental and legislative requirements are delivered
- Produce regular project specific updates, and develop and maintain measures of Quality, Cost and Delivery within the department
This is a full time permanent position with an annual salary up to £50,000.

Titan are currently working with a major manufacturing company based just outside of Glasgow who are looking for a Controls Engineer to join their team.
You will be working within a busy Controls department taking ownership of any new and existing projects, which will include design, programming, testing and commissioning of control systems.
Duties
- Review and process all customer specifications and drawings regarding control systems and related equipment
- Prepare documentation for approval by Controls / Project Manager
- Design, program and test control systems, including PLCs and associated equipment
- Develop and maintain working relationships with clients and colleagues to achieve goals and objectives
- Essential travel required to various sites for commissioning and customer support
To be considered for this role, it is essential you have the following skills and experience:
- Degree in a relevant discipline with 3 or more years of experience is desirable
- PLC programming
- Control panel design and modification
- Create and modify electrical drawings
- Create Bills of Material
- Fault finding in industrial machines and control systems
- Commissioning and testing
- Customer service & support
- Excellent communication and technical skills
This is a full time, permanent position which offers a great working environment along with a competitive salary of £38,000 - £42,000
